Say hello to the all-new 2022 Range Rover

 say hello to range rover

The Range Rover has served as the benchmark when it comes to luxury sport utility vehicles for generations. For 2022, the Range Rover has been completely redesigned and features a bold new exterior, a more modern and premium interior, more technologies, and even more luxury than ever before. The Range Rover is also moving the brand into electrification, with the 2023 Range Rover PHEV announced with nearly 100 km of all-electric range.

A more modern structure for the all-new 2022 Range Rover

The new 2022 Range Rover is built on the Land Rover brand new flexible MLA-flex architecture, or Modular Longitudinal Architecture. This new design that underpins the new generation of the Range Rover is paired with the brand's Integrated Chassis Control system in order to provide the highest level of comfort and refinement on the road of any Range Rover. The all new 2022 Range Rover will deliver a quiet and refined ride in any situation. The Range Rover will also be able to scan the road ahead using eHorizon Navigation technology which will allow the vehicle to compensate for upcoming road imperfections. This is similar to what Rolls-Royce uses on its new ghost, and the ride quality that is created is quite simply sublime.

The Range Rover will also be more agile thanks to all wheel steering which allows the rear wheels to turn to 7 degrees of steering angle which will lead to the smallest turning radius of any Range Rover or Land Rover vehicle. In other words, the Range Rover will be more comfortable, but it will also be easier to guide and drive in a crowded environment. It will be offered with either five seats or a long wheel base with 3 rows of seats.

Power will come from a standard 3 l turbocharged inline 6 engine that features mild hybrid technology and 395 horsepower along with 406 pound-feet of torque. This will deliver the kind of performance we expect from a Range Rover, but the King of the Hill will certainly be the all-new Range Rover SV. The Range Rover SV features a 4.4 L twin turbo V8 with 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. This is enough to power the luxury SUV to 100 km an hour in less than 5 seconds.

Later, we expect to see a new plug-in hybrid version of the Range Rover with 434 horsepower and a massive battery which should provide nearly 100 km of all-electric driving range. This will make the 2023 Range Rover PHEV the most capable electrified luxury vehicle.

More space and a more luxurious interior with a better infotainment system and premium materials will also be found in the new Range Rover. Moreover, Range Rover SV buyers will be able to customise their ultra luxury SUV with premium materials such as ceramic, giving their Range Rover a very personalized and exclusive feel.
