There's not much Land Rover could have done to the redesigned Defender to make it better. And now, Land Rover is about to introduce a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 currently offered in models like the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SVR. Developing an incredible 518 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque with a roar that confirms to everyone the power it is packing; this engine powers the Land Rover Defender to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds

The 2022 Land Rover Defender will also get special touches when the V8 is found under the hood. These include tweaks to the 4x4 system, bigger brake rotors, stiffer bushings, and larger anti-roll bars. It will also get a new Dynamic Mode within its Terrain Response 2 program that will lead to sharper accelerations, a more rugged suspension, active torque vectoring to improve power distribution and an overall sportier design.

22-inch wheels, satin touchpoints and new paint colours will also be available with the V8 Defender.
