A new version has just been added to the Defender family from Land Rover: The Defender 130. This new model means three different versions of this rugged premium SUV are now available.
The Defender 90
The 2022 Land Rover Defender 90 is the starting point of the Defender family since it is the direct descendent of the original Defender that made Land Rover famous around the world for its practicality and its off-road capabilities. This two-door SUV benefits from a short wheelbase and overall length, which makes it more agile in tight areas and thus better suited for driving on the trails. Even if it is shorter than its siblings, it remains very practical due to its 442 Liters of cargo space behind the seats.
The Defender 110
The 2022 Land Rover Defender 110 adds to the usability of the 90 by giving it two extra doors at the rear and a longer overall length that can accommodate more cargo and two extra passengers for occasional use. This means that up to 980 liters of space can be used to store items behind the second row of seats, which can fold to accommodate even larger items.
The Defender 130
The 2022 Land Rover Defender 130 is the latest model to join the Defender family and it brings even more space for cargo as well as a full-size third row of seats which brings the passenger-carrying capacity of this model up to 8. When this rear-most bench is folded into the floor, a 1,232-liter space is revealed, which can also be expanded further by folding the second row of seats. This comes courtesy of a stretched wheelbase and an overall length that is 34 centimeters longer than the 110 model. Under the hood of this newcomer is the 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, a powertrain available in the Defender 110.
